Instructions for Authors

  1. Article Submission

Articles must be submitted in digital format to the following emails: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. Once the official journal email is established, the previous ones will be disabled.

By submitting the article, it is understood that the document is the author's own work in accordance with Article 83 of the Political Constitution of Colombia. Revisitus Academicus Cientificus presumes the good faith of the authors, assuming the articles are their original intellectual creation. Therefore, no additional formalities are required beyond the submission for publication.

  1. Article Formatting Guidelines
  1. Articles must be written in 1.5 spacing. No hanging indents in any section. Font: Arial, 12 pt.
  2. The article title should have a maximum of 15 words, clearly, accurately, and concisely reflecting the content.
  3. An abstract of no more than 100 words that clearly identifies the basic content of the article.
  4. Keywords must be between 5 and 7, either simple or compound. Use the UNESCO Thesaurus.
  5. Title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in Spanish, English, and German.
  6. The introduction should guide the reader through the content, presenting the topic, objectives, and structure.
  7. Methodology should present the design used to obtain valid and reliable results.
  8. Development should present the author's research ideas and findings in an organized manner.
  9. All pages must be numbered, including the first and bibliography pages.
  10. Footnotes must follow a numerical sequence and should be used only when necessary, i.e., for clarifications (APA, 7th Edition).
  1. References

All references, footnotes, and citations must follow the updated APA (American Psychological Association) style guidelines.

  1. Author and Research Information
  1. Research: A footnote with an asterisk (*) should follow the title, referencing the research project: Name, Institution, Research Group, Group Code.
  2. Author(s): Footnotes for each author using asterisks—first author (*), second (**), third (***), etc. Include full name, academic background, latest academic degree with institution, current institution, ORCID, and institutional email.
  1. Types of Articles (Publindex – MinCiencias)
  1. Research Article: Presents detailed original results from completed research. Typically includes: introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  2. Reflection Article: Presents results from completed research with an analytical, interpretive, or critical perspective on a specific topic using original sources.
  3. Review Article: Result of completed research analyzing, systematizing, and integrating published/unpublished findings in a science or technology field. Includes at least 50 references.
  4. Short Article: Brief document presenting original preliminary or partial research results that require rapid dissemination.
  5. Case Report: Study results on a specific case highlighting technical and methodological experiences. Includes systematic literature review on similar cases.
  6. Topical Review: Critical review of the literature on a specific topic.
  7. Letters to the Editor: Critical or interpretative positions on documents published in the journal that significantly contribute to the scientific discussion.
  8. Editorial: Written by the editor, an editorial board member, or an invited researcher on the journal's thematic orientation.
  9. Translation: Translations of classical or current texts or transcripts of historical or relevant documents.
  10. Scientific Notes: Reports of new species discoveries, new celestial bodies, or brief descriptions of phenomena. Considered preliminary results from observation or short studies contributing new knowledge or hypotheses.
  1. Evaluation

Receiving a document does not imply a commitment by Revisitus Academicus Cientificus to publish it.

The Editorial Committee will accept documents that meet all the journal's criteria and will notify authors via email about the start of the review process. Acceptance will be accompanied by a Turnitin review (plagiarism must not exceed 30%) and an AI review to confirm authorship.

The document and evaluation form will be sent to two double-blind peer reviewers, who will assess the document formally and substantively within 15 business days:

  • Approved without modifications: The article proceeds to publication.
  • Approved with modifications: Observations will be sent to the author for adjustments within 15 business days, then resent to reviewers for final approval.
  • Not approved: Authors will be notified; no appeals are accepted.
  1. Publishing Rights Transfer
  1. Submission implies that authors explicitly authorize the journal to publish their articles in print and electronic formats and to store them in national and international databases.
  2. By submitting the article to the journal, authors agree that:
    i) The article is under review only at Revisitus Academicus Cientificus.
    ii) If accepted, it will be published both in print and digital formats.
    iii) Authors will receive a free digital version. Physical copies depend on availability from the Editorial Committee.
